For those who do not know, April of 2008 is another earthquake month similar to the one of April of 2007, except, unfortunately 2008 has more of a chance. I thought i would give some background info on this. Vancouver is a city which is part of the ring of fire which surrounds the pacific ocean and is very active (volcanic action). Earthquakes usually happen every 5-10 yrs depending on the volcano and are usually around 6 magnitude (avg high) (scale: 0-3 = Low (no damage) 3-5 = Med. (Light daamge) 5-7= high (high damage) and finally, 8+ = Extreme (Severe Damage)). For example, in San Francisco, they get many 2 magnitude Earthquakes and the funny this is that whenever an Earthquake there happens which is lower than 4 magnitude, they will continue on with their lives ignoring the earthquake, even in their sleep. But, in Vancouver, Bc, Canada, there has been ABSOLUTELY NO earthquake which is 4 magnitude or higher for around 150 YEARS!. Until now. Scientist have detected more movement of the earths plates and us having more and more small earthquakes. They fear the massive one (predictably around 9magnitude) will hit soon due to the symptoms they have. The government has warned ppl to be prepared because with each and every second that passes, the chance of this horriblee disaster happening will increase. Some might say Vancouver citizens have done enough good deads that God is protecting Vancouver from harm for 150 year and counting, but some might say if it comes, it comes, we cannot do anything about it. Which do u believe in? This message is not a joke so plz be prepared and hope for the better . . .

Ahh we can't do much for we don't know if the earthquake will hit or not. All we can do is pray and believe that it won't occur.

I don't think they will... The government is too greedy and they only care about money.

well, its a law that our own government will bring us supplies, BUT remember u have to survive on ur own for AT LEAST 72hours or more, anyways the US would send some but not alot since ifits a big one, Washington will get hit as well.

I'm dying with Michelle And that is a very useful post Kevin thanks for the update on that but also thanks to you I have to fear every passing second in my life including this one, this one, this one, and even this one. Lets hope this will never happen, pray to god for the best and we might have a chance of living through this. After the earthquake month goes by lets all celebrate! =D And as I will quote from the movie "If you want a miracle, be the miracle" So be that miracle everybody and pray to god every night and thank him for the earthquake which will NOT happen because we prayed.

LOL... I'm not worried about earthquakes, global warming, any of that stuff AT ALL. I bet you all anything, in 20 years, I'll still be alive and the world will still be fine and I'd laugh at all the ones who are so afraid of those things happening...It's not gonna happen....I'll bet all of you $100000 that there isn't gonna be an earthquake in earthquake month, April. Wow, if you guys agreed, i'd make so much money... about....2 million? , But seriously, I know so much that it's not gonna happen, so im gonna take the sun off my display name. I don't care if you get pissed at me or anything, I'm taking it off because... I don't want to pray since I'm sure that it's not gonna happen. But i liked reading ur posts. Right now its 6:57 and April 18, 2008. I just heard the loudest thunder and brightest lightning. I was at costco heading to our car in the parking lot when... FLASH. Bright lightning, flashed a city block away from us, first i thought people were taking pictures of us but.... BOOM. Loudest lightning ive ever heard so far in my life. Even louder than normal cuz it was only a block away from us and i was outdoors!
