Change The Friends List?

Well the way the friends list is now... It just doesn't seem good. I mean if you had a lot of friends then all their names would line up together and you'd have a long time to scroll through all of them to find who your looking for. So wouldn't it be easier if we had a different way of viewing our friends? Any suggestions, or any reasons why you think this is a bad idea?
